This site is a loving tribute to Violetta Rose Calder. Violet (or Vi) was much loved and will always be remembered by her three children, family and friends.

Violet spent most of her life caring for others including her dad George and mum Patience. She demonstrated huge devotion to her beloved husband Alex - nursing him for many years through a long and difficult illness.

Violet dedicated many years of her life to raising her three children - Fiona, Catriona and Alan. All of whom graduated from university and took her ‘tough love’ with them as they went on to set up independent lives.

Violet was grandmother to two beautiful girls Alanna Rose and Francesca Lily who she loved to spend time with.

After the sad passing of Alex Violet joined St. Margaret’s church and found much comfort in the friendships she made there. She spent many happy hours at church - supporting members of the congregation, helping to run the church and contributing her time to various charitable initiatives.

In the last few years some aspects of Violet’s life changed but her determined, passionate and stubborn spirit persisted, and will continue to live on in her three children.
